Who is responsible for your data

What the booking form collects and why

When you book a class, we collect:

• the class date and time, and the number of guests
• your full name
• your email address
• your phone or WhatsApp number
• the language you want your confirmation in
• your message, if you write one

We use this data only to manage your booking. That means confirming it, sending you the details by email and WhatsApp, contacting you about it when needed, and preparing your class, for example around dietary needs. We need it to take your booking, so the legal basis is the contract you ask us to enter into (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without it we can’t book your class.

To keep the form free of spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is sending it, and we count booking attempts from each IP address. These counts are deleted automatically after two hours. Here the legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the booking system (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep it

We keep booking data for 24 months after the class date, then delete it.

Who processes it for us

These providers handle data for us, only on our instructions:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and the booking database, and runs Turnstile, the spam check on the booking form.
• Brevo sends the booking emails.
• Meta sends the booking confirmation on WhatsApp, through WhatsApp Business.

Some of them may process data outside the European Union. When they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards the GDPR recognises, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Google Maps

The map in the Location & contact section comes from Google Maps, and it loads only after you click “Show map”. From then on Google may set cookies and receive data such as your IP address, as described in Google’s privacy policy. The “Open in Google Maps” and “Get directions” links simply take you to Google Maps.

Links to other sites, such as Instagram, Tripadvisor or WhatsApp, take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Cookies

Apart from Google Maps, the site uses only technical cookies and similar storage that it needs to work, for the spam check on the booking form and to make sure the same booking isn’t sent twice. We don’t use analytics, advertising or profiling cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (Articles 15 to 21) you can ask to access your data, correct or delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. To do so, write to info@cookingconamore.it. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
